About
I am a mathematician and software developer. This is my blog where I post my notes about mathematics, physics, code, and other things.
The goal of these notes are to help me develop my thoughts and understanding of topics with two aims:
- Seriousness
- Clarity
The first refers to intellectual seriousness: not avoiding complexities, putting in the effort to understand the theories or fields necessary for a wholistic point of view, being honest about unknowns, purusing correct ideas rather than just ideas which seem correct from a certain point of view. That is, don’t be a physicist.
The second refers to clarity of thought, clarity of exposition, clarity of understanding, and clear boundaries and abstractions: the removal of extraneous detail, the clear characterisation of limits of ideas or arguments. In other words, to think about the world as a mathematician should.
